Lashio

This town of mostly Shan-Chinese and Chinese inhabitants is located at the southern end of the infamous Burma Road. Lashio is in a mountain basin at 855m- clouds may form and deliver rain at almost any time of the year. It is divided into two main districts, Lashio Lay (little Lashio) and Lashio Gyi (big Lashio), connected by Mandalay-Muse road.
