Day 12. Yangon departure
Day1. Yangon arrival.
Arrival by morning flight, welcome by our local tour guide and
transfer to hotel. The tour of Yangon city center featuring
Chaukhtatgyi, a colossal reclining Buddha;
Kyauk Taw Gyi Pagoda, the largest marble Buddha Image in
the world, sculptured out from a single piece of stone,
Kaba Aye (World Peace) Pagoda, significant for Sixth
World Buddhist Synod which held in Maha Pasana Guha (Cave),
City Center with City Hall, Sule Pagoda,
Independence Monument, and the world famous
Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2. Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo (By Car)
After breakfast at hotel, early morning, drive to Kyaikhtiyo
or
the golden rock, on which a small pagoda insignificant in size
but unique for its position. The rock is completely covered by
gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of the cliff.
Arrive at the base camp and proceed to the camp II called
Yathetaung by opened truck about an hour mountain drive. Take a
light trekking up to the Golden Rock along the twisting footpath
through bamboo forest.
Enjoy sunset beauty on hill top and overnight at Hotel.
Day 3. Kyaikhtiyo - Bago - Yangon (By Car)
After
breakfast at hotel, take a light trekking down to the camp II;
Yathetaung along the twisting footpath through bamboo forest.
Then drive down to the base camp and return back to Yangon via
Bago.
En route visit at Bago town, including Bago local market;
Shwetharlyaung, 55 meters long reclining Buddha image and
Shwemawdaw Pagoda, the highest stupa in Myanmar,
Kyaikpun
Pagoda, the four high huge Buddha image and Kanbawzathadi, the
Grand Palace of famous King Bayinnaung. Return to Yangon and
overnight at Hotel
Day 4 Yangon-Mandalay (By flight)
After breakfast at hotel, fly by morning
flight to Mandalay, the last capital of Myanmar Kingdom. Proceed
to Amarapura, visit Mahagandayon Monastery where over a thousand
of monks who take their last meal of the day at 10 am in total
silence; U-Bein old wooden bridge, Mahamuni, live like Buddha
image; Gold leaf making workshop; Marble
sculptures; Tapestry
workshop.
Afternoon visit to Central Grand Palace; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known
as the world largest book for its 729 marble slabs inscribed
with the Buddha's Doctrine; Golden Palace Monastery, noted for
its exquisite wood carving and Atumashi (incomparable)
Monastery; Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, a huge image curved out of a
single block of marble. Enjoy the panoramic view of the city
from Mandalay Hill. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 5. Mandalay –Sagaing- Mingun - Mandalay (By Car/By Boat)
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Sagaing visiting Kaunghmudaw
Pagoda, an enormous solid dome shape stupa and famous Sagaing
Hill, a retreat for Buddhist devotees, Silverware workshop, and
drive back to Mandalay
Afternoon depart Mandalay on a private boat along the
Ayeyarwaddy River to visit Mingun, a village on the west bank of
the river (11km) about 1 hr boat ride. Tour highlights include
huge but unfinished Pahtodawgyi Pagoda: Mingun bell, probably
the largest uncracked ringing bell in the world which weighing
90 tons and Myatheintan Pagoda with seven concentric terraces at
the base. Come back to Mandalay and overnight at Hotel
Day 6. Mandalay - Bagan (By River Cruise)
After breakfast at hotel, take a double decked river cruise to
Bagan along the Ayeyarwaddy River sampling some of the rural
life of the people on the river banks. Upon arrival, transfer to
hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 7. Bagan
After breakfast at hotel, a comprehensive exploration of Bagan
includes Nyaung Oo market; Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype stupa
which shown the strength of Bagan; Kyansittha Umin;
Gubyauikgyi
Temple with exquisite mural painting of 13th century and
Htilominlo Temple.
Afternoon, visit to lacquer ware workshop, continue to
Dhamayangyi Temple, a massive temple with finest brick work;
Ananda Temple, architectural masterpiece and
Thatbyinnyu Temple,
the tallest in Bagan. Enjoy the breathtaking sunset from
Phathatgyi Temple. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 8. Bagan - Mt. Popa - Kalaw (By Car)
After breakfast at hotel, departs by road to Kalaw
(241km - 8hr
drive), a mountain resort town in the Southern Shan State. En
route visit Mt. Popa, an extinct volcano known as the legendary
abode of the ‘nats’ or spirits. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 9. Kalaw – Pindaya Cave - Inle Lake (By Car)
After
breakfast at hotel, drive to Pindaya (48 km - 1 1/2hr drive),
visit to Pindaya Cave, home base paper making and umbrella
making workshop.
Proceed to the famous Inle Lake, the residence of the
Intha people, Unique Leg-rowers, and a kind of water world. Overnight
at Hotel.
Day 10. Inle Lake
After breakfast at hotel, get the real feelings of the lake by
visiting famous floating gardens; floating weaving village of
Inpawkon; fishing methods of native Intha people;
Phaungdawoo
Pagoda in which five golden statues ; Ngaphechaung teak wood
monetary and Shwe Indein ancient pagodas, over one thousand
stupa there.. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 11. Inle Lake – (Heho)- Yangon (By Flight)
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Heho airport for an hour and
fly back to Yangon. Arrive at Yangon airport and visit
Bogyoke
(Scott) Market with hundreds of stalls for souvenirs,
Yangon
Harbor and Busy China Town. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 12. Yangon departure
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to
airport for departure.
